Our Mission

The Association of Commercial Real Estate Professionals (ACRP) was founded in 1987 as a business oriented non-political association to enhance its members' and guests' knowledge of the commercial real estate industry, to establish business relationships and promote comradeship among a diverse group of individuals who are affiliated with or have an interest in the Houston commercial real estate industry.

General Meeting Information

ACRP generally meets every fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00am for breakfast (see Calendar of Events for breakfast dates, times and locations).  ACRP prides itself on the quality of speakers and networking.  The normal price for guests is $35.   Table sponsorships (10 seats) are available for $300.  Meeting sponsorships are also available.  ACRP annual membership dues are $300 and includes breakfast meetings and other ACRP functions.

ACRP BYLAW Changes :

We have been an organization for over 22 years and our By-Laws have never been updated.  In fact, they are so old that they were put together by typewriter.  Well, that isn't totally true.  The word processing software that was used for our initial set of By-Laws is no longer around—at least we can't find a match with current software.

With that storied history behind us, it is time to review and update our By-Laws.  As a board this has been a long process and covered two administrations.  However, the end result is a document that both works and reflects how we currently operate as an organization.  A copy of the revised By-Laws is attached.

According to our current By-Laws, 67% of the membership must vote affirmatively to change them.  That is the purpose of this communication.  I am soliciting your vote to approve a new set of By-Laws.  For voting purposes, a corporate member has two votes.

At the June 25 th breakfast meeting we will formally ask the membership to vote.  However the voting period will be from now till June 30 (if necessary).  Another attachment is a proxy document that can be filled out and sent in (fax, scan and email, mailed or by person) prior to or at the June breakfast meeting.
